BendMate is a conduit bending calculator for electricians and apprentices. Pick your bender and conduit size, enter your measurements, and it gives you the marks, shrink, cut length and bend angles for offsets, saddles, 90s, kicks and more. It runs in a web browser and works offline.

A multiplier chart treats every bend as a sharp corner. A real shoe bends on a radius, which uses a little less conduit. BendMate works every mark out from your bender’s centerline radius and deduct, so its numbers are slightly smaller than the chart’s and match what the shoe does. You can switch to the multiplier method if you want the textbook numbers.

17 bend types: offset, rolling offset, parallel offset, matching bends offset, matching centers offset, three-point saddle, four-point saddle, 90° stub-up, kick with 90°, parallel kick, parallel kick forward, matching bend kick, matching center kick, compound 90°: round, compound 90°: square, compound 90°: rectangle, and segmented 90°. It also lays out several bends on one stick with the cut length, and bends racks of conduit together.

34 hand, mechanical, electric and hydraulic benders from Current Tools, Gardner Bender, Greenlee, IDEAL, iToolco, Klein Tools, Milwaukee, and Southwire, with 400 shoe and conduit combinations for EMT, rigid, IMC and PVC-coated rigid. There’s also the multiplier method, for textbook numbers with no bender.

Add it. Enter the deduct (take-up) and the gain printed on the bender for each size, and BendMate works out the radius from them. If you know the radius, enter it too. You can also edit any built-in bender to match yours.

As accurate as the bender numbers it works from. The built-in numbers come from each manufacturer’s published specs, and every bender page shows where they came from; where a manufacturer doesn’t publish a radius, BendMate uses the NEC minimum and says so. Results are rounded to the fraction you choose, 1/16" unless you change it. Check your first bends against your own bender.

Yes. Once BendMate has loaded, it works with no signal, even after you close it. Add it to your home screen and it opens like any other app.

Open bendmate.com/app in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. BendMate then opens from its icon, full screen, and works offline.

Open bendmate.com/app in Chrome and tap Install when it’s offered, or open the browser’s menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.

Yes. The level uses your phone’s tilt sensor. Lay the phone along the straight part of the conduit to zero it, then along the bent leg, and it holds the bend’s angle. It zeroes and holds by itself, or you can tap to do it.

Yes. The whole app and every guide are in English and Spanish. BendMate opens in your browser’s language, and you can change it in Settings.

Yes. Share sends a link that opens the same bend with the same bender and shoe. Print gives a clean cut sheet with the measurements, the marks and the bender. You can also save bends on your device.

Yes. Switch between inches, feet and inches, and centimeters at any time. Fractions of an inch can be typed as you say them, like 14 3/16.

No account is needed. Your settings, benders and saved bends are kept on your device and never sent to us. Save a backup file from Settings to move them to another device.
